The festival takes place at Adrift Overland Camp, overlooking Kalagala Falls on the Nile River—about 2 hours from Kampala and 35 minutes from Jinja. See our venue page for maps and directions.

The festival starts on Thursday, November 19th at 4:00 PM and ends on Sunday, November 22nd at 10:00 AM.

Yes. A variety of food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available from our on-site vendors. You are not permitted to bring your own food or beverages into the festival arena.

Yes, the Global Food Village will offer various options suitable for all types of diets.

Yes. ATM and Mobile Money services (including MPESA and forex facilities) will be available on-site.

Yes. First Aid services are provided by the Uganda Red Cross. Alert any staff member immediately in case of an emergency. See our Red Cross & Emergency Services page for more details on medical support.

Yes, mobile charging stations are located in the main festival arena.

Safe and secure parking will be available for all 4 days of the festival near the entrance.

Ugandan Shillings (UGX) are the primary currency accepted by vendors. US Dollars are also widely accepted, and forex services are available on-site. Mobile Money (MTN and Airtel) is also accepted at most stalls.

Most international visitors require a visa to enter Uganda. You can apply online via the East Africa Tourist Visa

portal or obtain one on arrival. East African Community citizens (Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi) do not need a visa.

Prices vary between East African Citizens (Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Congo DRC, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia) and International Visitors. You must present a valid Passport, ID, or Visa at the gate to confirm your ticket category.

Yes, single day passes are available for the festival.

Subject to availability. Single-day passes may also be available at the gate depending on capacity.

There are no refunds on purchased tickets.

For safety and enjoyment, the following are prohibited: outside alcohol or food, glass containers, illegal substances, weapons or sharp objects, professional camera equipment without a media pass, and drones.

Security checks are conducted at the entrance.

There is no formal dress code. Nyege Nyege is an expression of freedom and creativity, wear what makes you feel good. Comfortable footwear is recommended as the terrain includes forest paths and riverside areas. Layers are advisable for cooler nights.

You must exchange your ticket for a wristband at Check-In. Ticket holders must be physically present to collect wristbands; you cannot collect for others. Wristbands must be worn at all times and allow for re-entry. Tampering with a wristband renders it invalid.

Under 18s are strictly prohibited and will be refused entry without a refund.

By entering, you consent to being filmed or photographed for promotional purposes.

Attendance is at your own risk. By entering the festival, you agree to comply with all festival rules and policies. Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who does not adhere to these guidelines.

Artists and DJs can submit their application through our artist application form. Include your music links, bio, and past performance experience.

You can apply to be a vendor through our vendor application form. Applications must include photos of products, a complete inventory list, and sale prices to be considered.
